Been working on this coyote style sheet for my comic… finally happy with how the colors turned out and the design.

I like Valiant Comics! What started out as a incentive/thankyou to help get comic trades into library (via custom Valiant themed Patch sales) turned into a regular fan art thing that I try to do every few months. It's really awesome that people enjoy them as much as I like drawing them! I draw them in sets of 5.
I saw a link with dogs from all over the world and it reminded me of my own doggy project! I drew these almost a year ago... I still try to get to it now and again, trying to go through all the dogs in alphabetical order!

Here are some of my favorite contributions to the Shadow of OZ tarot deck, from Illogical Associates.
They invited me to join a group of other artist to create a tarot deck from the imagery found in OZ (they translate very well I think!)
A successful Kick Starter helped get this deck off the ground!
I am very happy to be a part of it.

So I have been wrestling with this idea for a few years, and a few years ago, started really getting into the art/story for it.
But, I've realized, if you're wrestling with something, trying to make it work, it's probably not meant to be. And I don't mean artistic growth, I mean story.
Sometimes it's best to walk away, and work on something new.
This is the year of the Horse, and a character I was working on (for the image) was inspired by the Chinese Zodiac...
So I get a little teary eyed because he was the main focus behind this idea and evolved the most.
There you go-- maybe a bit too much background than normal... but I figure why not.
