Darkwing Duck-ette?

Instead of doing my freelance work in the wee hours of the night, I decided to do something fun & familiar! There's a group on deviant art that does challenges, one of which is gender switching. So I took my favorite duck and re-imagined him as a duckette!

X-O Manatee

So another fan art Friday! Last weekend, my husband and I were having breakfast, and we started joking about this manatee that finds a seed of the X-O armor! the idea was that the armor heals his damaged back- caused by various speedboats- and that the Manatee (yet to be named) decides to seek revenge on the boats that cause his species harm!

Funny because, when looking up manatees, somehow I stumbled upon this guy and his super hero manatee series! Awesome idea to combine all these super heros with MANatees... batMAN, spiderMAN, iron MAN-- it was bound to happen!

I mean, here's one from 2011... another from 2008... let the manatee army take over the internet!

Karen's Baby Shower

My brother is expecting their first baby this June, a baby girl! His wife Karen, a friend of mine ever since grade school, asked me to create a postcard invite keeping with their theme of safari babies. The babies room is monkey themed!

Redoing the Sketches

I realized that going through my blog to see my sketches is totally messy, even with the nifty labels. Because, really, you just want to see the sketches all in one place.

So I am redoing my sketches page (I keep forgetting to update that thing) to have past sketches from the blog, and also (when I remember) update it with new ones.

I'll still post to both, but the sketch page will be a backlog of everything...

Wow! Wicky update!

Okay, remember how last Christmas, Sanders and I found a stray dog? Wicky? Remember her? Well, her new owners contacted us over the holidays! It's great to hear that 'SHASTA' is well loved and entertaining as ever with her new family! Throughout the year, we've wondered what happened to her, and hoped to see her again... well looks like we got our wish!

We'll be meeting up soon, maybe Dee will recognize her old friend?
